(BPRW) Jessie Trice Community Health System 1 of 2 Florida Health Centers to Receive HRSA Optimizing Virtual Care (Q8V) Award

(Black PR Wire) On Monday, February 14, 2022, HRSA awarded a total of $54,564,275 in one-time funding to help 29 health centers develop, implement and evaluate innovative evidence-based strategies that:

  • Optimize the use of virtual care to increase access and improve clinical quality for underserved communities and vulnerable populations; and
  • Can be adapted and scaled across health center program.

Every year, billions of dollars are lost due to uncoordinated health and social services for underserved populations, including people with mental illness and/or addictions, the homeless, high Medicaid and drug users. others with adverse social determinants of health. Leveraging HRSA Optimizing Virtual Care funding, the Jessie Trice Community Health System Virtual Care Initiative for Urban and Special Needs Communities will implement an enhanced, comprehensive virtual care program with shared-service integration and that includes health information, screening and intervention for the social determinants of health services and care management and coordination to promote better health and social outcomes for patients.
