East Alabama Health has opened two centers at the Auburn Medical Pavilion, which will bring much-needed services closer to residents of Auburn.

The Auburn Medical Lodge, located at 900 Camp Auburn Road, opened in June and now offers a wide range of services.

Last week, EAH announced the opening of its new breast health center on the third floor of the Auburn medical pavilion. The center is equipped with the latest breast health imaging technology, including three 3D mammograms and two ultrasound machines, according to a press release from the EAH. Same day results of most breast cancer screenings will be offered.

“What we are offering here is really exciting because this area has been in need for a long time,” said Dr Cynthia Lorino, who will be the medical director of imaging at the Breast Health Center. “It’s a full breast center, which means all the imaging you need is available at our facility.

On Tuesday, EAH announced the opening of the East Alabama Ambulatory Surgery Center at the Auburn Medical Pavilion. The center will offer certain outpatient procedures as part of a joint venture between EAMC and a group of 16 local doctors in specialties such as orthopedics, ENT, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, gastro enterology (GI) and general surgery.
