Officials say early detection is key in the fight against breast cancer, so access to screenings is important.
Officials say mammogram screenings are primarily for women 40 and older; however, screenings will be offered to people under the age of 40 who have a screening referral from a provider.
According to the NVHC, screenings are offered to all women, regardless of economic status.
They also say they accept most major insurance plans, Medicaid and Medicare, and offer a sliding fee scale for those who are uninsured.
